PrecisionContinuum products transmit and recieve time over the networks using the Time Protocol (RFC-868). This simple protocol reports time as a 32-bit unformatted binary number that represents the time in Universal Coordinate Time seconds since January 1, 1900. Because of the limitations of this protocol, all times reported by Continuum can be no more precise than one second. |
