HELP: USB Sensor Capture Problems In WinXP

SYMPTOMS

In WinXP, sometimes there are problems trying to capture images with my USB digital x-ray system.  These problems may be intermittent or all the time ranging from "unable to initialize" errors to software crashes to unreliable functionality.

CAUSE

These problems can be caused by the following:

1. Invalid WinXP hardware drivers.

2. Out-of-date WinXP operating system.

RESOLUTION

Make sure that you have the latest version of your WinXP drivers for your hardware.  Also update to the latest version of WinXP using the Windows Update feature of WinXP.
