Apteryx has developed NameGrabber - Apteryx's patented bridge to practice management programs - so you don't need to worry about integrating with your practice’s management software. NameGrabber is installed with XrayVision and XVlite automatically, and reads patient information from most Windows-based practice management systems, which eliminates all data entry. Even if a patient's name changes, NameGrabber changes the data in the Apteryx patient database to keep all information in sync between your practice management system and itself. All you need is NameGrabber and the appropriate DataDRILL.

NameGrabber is an application that runs in the system tray of your Windows computer. DataDRILLs are specific files that allow Apteryx Imaging to read from your practice management suite’s database. NameGrabber will even work on less common PM suites without specific DataDRILL integration. A DataDRILL is only consulted while "bridging" from known practice management software.

Just as well, a DataDRILL can be used without NameGrabber. With just a DataDRILL installed, you can choose to add a patient in XrayVision or XVlite from a list of all the patients from your selected practice management.
