INcontrol Batch Scanner

Used to download, process and submit inventory that has been scanned with a bar code scanner.

INcontrol Batch Scanner Client manages the downloading of scanned inventory from the scanner/bar code reader and submits it to the server. An easy-to-use interface is provided for reconciling invalid part/items or invalid item scans. The user can also add transactions manually to the server through the Manual Entry option.

Scanner Management

INcontrol Batch Scanner allows you to configure your scanners with how inventories will be managed. This is accomplished by modifying the working inventories and/or settings in the INcontrol Batch Scanner Client (BSC).  Scanners can be updated automatically and easily. BSC is also used when scanners need to be updated with changes made to an inventory's fields in the INcontrol Fields Manager.

Download Scanned Inventory

Batch bar code scanners need to download their scans from time-to-time. Downloading inventory from a scanner is automatic with BSC. Most scanners are simply placed in a cradle that is attached to the computer running the INcontrol Batch Scanning Client to download their scanned inventory.

Scanned inventory problems are automatically noted. If scanning problems are detected in the downloaded transactions, they will be indicated in the inventory listing.

Submit Scanned Inventory To The Server

Once inventory has been downloaded and reconciled in the INcontrol Batch Scanning Client, it can be submitted to the INcontrol Server. Scanned inventory can not be submitted to the server until all problems are reconciled to prevent corrupted data. Another way INcontrol makes your life simpler.
